Your replacement spa cover by AccuLok will be custom made according to the dimensions you provide. It is best to measure once and check, and re-check, your measurements to assure a proper fitting hot tub cover.
All measurements are to be provided in inches, rounded up to the nearest full inch. Allowing a little extra space is recommended. A spa cover that is slightly larger than the acrylic spa shell will look and function properly. A hot tub cover that is too small not only looks poor, it underperforms. Only AccuLok can provide the water lock-out and heat saving features in a properly fitting hot tub cover.
Measure your dimensions from the spa itself and not from the old cover.
Due to the nature of old technology in the hot tub cover industry—prior to the AccuLok introduction—that cover may be warped, bent, broken or so water logged
that it no longer fits properly. If your old cover is in reasonable condition,
you may double-check your measurements taken from the
spa with those of the old hot tub cover.
Covers over 96” are considered over-sized and must received confirmation
of delivery time and additional delivery cost by calling the customer
service department at Diverse Designs Limited, LLC 1.888.666.4011
Spa covers that require cut-outs for speakers, etc., hoods, or
any other obstructions will not be available from AccuLok.
Refer to the AccuLok Spa Cover Measuring Guide to
record the dimensions of your spa.
Print out the guide and complete while at your spa, to use
as a reference when placing your order.
This will help to assure accurate measurements for your custom order.
IDENTIFY YOUR SPA INSTALLATION FROM THE ILLUSTRATIONS BELOW
Nearly all newer portable spas are constructed in this manner and are the easiest to measure for a replacement cover. Measure from the outside edge (widest position) of the acrylic spa shell. Take note that many spa shells are slightly angled out from the top of the spa to the
bottom edge. Provide the measurement of the widest point.
Normally, the fold position is on the longest side. To reduce confusion, remember that Side “A” is the longest side and that side will have the fold in the center. Record this measurement on the Hot Tubb Cover Measuring Guide. (printable version)
Older Style Spa Cabinet; cabinet walls with wooden top rail edge trim extend
beyond the spa shell.
It is best to have the AccuLok spa cover extend out to the edge of the wood trim. That allows the skirt to hang straight over the wood trim onto the cabinet for a smoother appearance, while providing maximum protection and heat sealing to the spa. The correct measurement for your replacement cover is the cabinet width dimension.
Normally, the fold position is on the longest side. To reduce confusion, remember that Side “A” is the longest side and that side will have the fold in the center. Record this and all other measurements on the Hot Tub Cover Measuring Guide. (printable version)
In-Deck (in-ground) installation;
For acrylic spa shells that have been custom installed, set directly into a deck or concrete
surf ace, measure to the outside of the spa shell—not the inside (water opening) of the spa shell.
Normally, the fold position is on the longest side. To reduce confusion, remember that Side “A” is the longest side and that side will have the fold in the center. Record this and all other measurements on the Hot Tub Cover Measuring Guide. (printable version)
The spa shield length will be shortened for these types of installations and will not display the same heat saving properties that a portable cabinet spa design will.
Locking Tie-Down Strap Placement
All AccuLok spa covers are standard with four locking tie-down straps, including keys latches for cabinet mounting.
Tie-downs are sewn in standard positions for your spa’s design, normally on the ends opposite the hinge.
It is not possible to guarantee matching tie-down
placement with your old cover.
Should they align with your old latches, we recommend installing the new AccuLok latches for assured safety and a tight fit. In-Deck installed spas may have the latches mounted on the deck surface for security. Be sure the new latches replace the old in the appropriate position.
